Eser Taskiran was born in Istanbul in 1973. At the age of 4, he entered the Piano Department of Istanbul University State Conservatory. At the age of 13, he won a state scholarship under the “Golden Children Law” no. 6666 from the board chaired by composer Adnan Saygun.

The artist, who has absolute pitch, conducted his first orchestra at the age of 14. He continued his music studies with Elisabetta Di Stefano and Ali Darmar. He founded his first band, Gokkusagi, with his older sister, Meltem Taskiran.

With the group Gokkusagi, he won awards from all inter-university music competitions organized by both ITU and Yıldız Technical University between 1987 and 1989.
